Work, socialise or unwind in comfort at the Virgin Australia lounge. Removed from the hustle and bustle of Australian airports, the Virgin Australia lounge is a secluded pre-flight haven. A great selection of complimentary benefits – such as a Luke Mangan designed buffet menu, premium wines, business services, news and entertainment – make our lounges stylish and practical spaces, designed to cater for our guests’ moods and purposes.
On weekday mornings, this place can get busy despite the lounge being a good size. They also serve good coffee.
Plenty of room with a well stocked bar (with a competent barista!) and a wide range of food. A fairly pleasant place to position yourself while waiting for your flight.
Smaller than it's Melbourne and Sydney counterparts, the Brisbane lounge is modern, but clinical, again behind it's Qantas rival.
The Virgin Lounge has all of the basics but somehow just misses out on the ambiance of good airline lounges. Maybe it is the lighting?
The amount of PAs made here at 6am is ridiculous. Boarding, final boarding, delays, app downloads - forget trying to have a quiet work session. Crowding is bad, as is availability of power ports.
Can get crowded. Tables not cleaned from dishes regularly. And part of the lounge was inaccessible due to renovations. Good helpful staff and barista was fast.
Spacious with good staff level. Barista.
Longtime admirer, first time visitor - busy at 5:30pm, but not overcrowded. If you need quiet to get work done you may want to venture elsewhere, but if you like busy energy then this would suit you.
The only negative is the absence of spirits in the bar - like a nice whiskey.
Departures level, Opposite Gate 41
